THE LEGATUM CENTER’S PROGRAM OFFERINGS

The Center runs a competitive fellowship program for MIT students with a commitment to building and scaling their ventures through principled entrepreneurial leadership. We provide seed grants and travel support for students looking to explore and experience global innovation-driven entrepreneurship (IDE) opportunities. We also offer research grants and assistantships for faculty and students looking to understand and shape the conditions for system change. In addition, the Center runs competitions, conferences and events to promote and shape discourse on bottom-up development and system change through IDE.

The Legatum Fellowship helped me expand my vision, management skills, network and even my desire to help people. Not only has this support given me the courage to launch my venture, but it has also taught me to think big because anything is possible. – Javier Lozano, CEO, Clinicas del Azucar, Legatum Fellow –
