Pontapé guides young professionals through the education-to-employment transition in Brazil. By helping potential job candidates develop the social and communication skills that are key for professional success, Pontapé gives users an advantage in Brazil’s growing professional services sector. Through Pontapé’s recruitment and placement marketplace, candidates and companies match their respective skills and requirements, eliminating inefficiencies in recruiting and training programs while extending employment opportunities to young professionals.

Juliano’s inspiration comes from the challenges young professionals face because they have not had enough work experience and lack guidance in marketing their skills to recruiters. Having overcome the challenges of developing his own career path, Juliano is implementing a scalable model to fulfill the demand for capable young professionals on the part of companies and opportunities for growth on the part of graduates.

Most recently, Juliano was an associate at McKinsey & Company. Previously, he was a product manager in a Latin American corporate bank and a financial analyst in a Brazilian IT services company. He volunteers as a youth mentor in public schools in São Paulo and Boston.

Juliano holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo. He is currently an MBA candidate at the Sloan School of Management.
