Akili Talent Management implements cloud-based learning management systems and develops locally relevant corporate elearning course content in East Africa. These services enable businesses to efficiently train their workforces and retain talent. Employees benefit from continuous learning, practical training, and new skill development.
Iris has studied Swahili and traveled extensively in Tanzania. She lived in Tanzania for over a year while working on youth programs for a non-profit organization. During this experience she saw the effects of high unemployment and disconnects between classroom education and the skills companies are seeking in job candidates. She is excited about providing tools to local business that promote sustainable growth for companies and promote career development in the professional services industry.
Before beginning her graduate studies at MIT, Iris worked for a technology services firm implementing business applications and cloud solutions. She focused on full-cycle enterprise software implementations.
Iris holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Linguistics with a minor in African Studies from the University of Florida. She is a Leaders for Global Operations Fellow at the Sloan School of Management pursuing an MBA and an MS in Engineering Systems.
