Sector:
Financial Services
Location:
Mexico
Degree:
MBA, Sloan School of Management

Enrique Bay is addressing the lack of alternatives that Mexico’s large unbanked population has to afford big-ticket expenses, including health services and home appliances. His company, Kiwi, is a technology platform that helps users purchase products in advance through affordable payment plans, while allowing merchants to widen their customer base and increase sales.

Enrique’s professional experience has fostered his passion for entrepreneurship in his home country of Mexico. He led his university’s biggest community program, “Niños Regios,” in 2006 and in 2007, and participated in PLEI, where he developed commercial projects for various Asian countries. He also worked with CEMEX to develop socially and economically beneficial infrastructure solutions across Mexico, through which he was exposed to various parts and cultures of the country.

Enrique received his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. He holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM and a second B.S. degree from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia (UTS).
