Josh is passionate about agricultural development in Sub-Saharan Africa, where he sees an opportunity to create premium food and beverage products for specialty markets. He is starting a food brand – initially focused on Ghanaian cashew products – with the goal of expanding to other goods and vertically integrating to handle production, processing, packaging, and distribution.

Josh previously worked in Ghana helping farmers formalize their businesses and access financing. He also worked with the World Bank on an agriculture financing initiative that addressed market failures across Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. These experiences inspired Josh to start his own an agribusiness that supported economic development in Ghana, where many of his family members live.

As an undergraduate, Josh studied Political Science focusing on African Politics and Development. He enjoys traveling the globe and tries to visit Ghana at least once a year. Josh is currently pursuing his MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he serves as Co-President of the Black Business Students Association and as a member of Sloan Senate.
