Isaiah’s business is focused on making B2B trade in Nigerian agriculture easier. Nigerian agribusinesses use Releaf to connect with reliable buyers and sellers of their agricultural commodities. His team is working to facilitate trade in the Nigerian agricultural sector, where the group will focus on a single crop value-chain. At scale Isaiah’s team seeks to build trust in African Trade. Isaiah’s team is YCombinator-backed and his 2 co-founders have just graduated school and have permanently moved to Nigeria. Isaiah’s founding team is comprised of a fully first-generation Nigerian-American team whose journey began when they pitched their idea to Akinwumi Adesina (President of the African Development Bank), and he agreed to fund their first trip to Nigeria to conduct market research. Isaiah is a Gates Millennium Scholar and a Congressional Gold Medalist. Isaiah has a deep technical background, having interned at Facebook for two summers as a software engineer; additionally, he has experience with lead generation and project management. Isaiah is currently an undergraduate at MIT pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Concentration in International Development.
