Professional Services
Location:

MBA, Sloan School of Management

Meghan is catalyzing a youth-led movement to end unemployment in West Africa. Her venture, Dare to Innovate, invests in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to ignite social change. All products and services support the lifecycle of an entrepreneur from ideation to acceleration and include training, investment, and on-going support. She is also developing mobile solutions to enhance business operations and lower the cost-to-serve in the small-business sector in Africa.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer working in Guinea, Meghan was immediately struck by high levels of youth unemployment—around 70% of college graduates are unemployed. After teaching entrepreneurship for a year, she realized that entrepreneurship training without investment and on-going support services would not lead to employment. The Dare to Innovate movement was born and will continue to empower entrepreneurs until all West African youth have access to opportunity and employment.

In addition to serving as a Community Economic Development Volunteer in the Peace Corps, Meghan spent over two years as an innovation strategist. She worked as a consultant with Doblin, the innovation unit of Monitor Deloitte, helping global companies realize their innovation ambition through concept development and capability building. In college she founded Genesius Productions, a social enterprise in the arts-education space.

Meghan graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Georgetown University where she minored in Theater and Performance Studies. She is pursuing an MBA from the Sloan School of Management and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.
