"Political democracy makes absolutely no sense if not accompanied by social and economic democracy. If political democracy does not deliver concrete results in terms of jobs and decent income, or access to basic social needs, then people in the world will lose faith in democracy."

 

 
This lecture took place on Monday, May 3rd, at 12 pm in the MIT Wong Auditorium, Building E51. The lecture was open to the general public free of charge.
