"It’s about looking at research, development, and innovation as a very borderless exercise. You cannot be doing this in silos. We all talk about not working in silos and yet, inadvertently, over the last several decades we have worked in silos. Innovation and development and everything in the drug industry has been done in a silo-like manner, in a vertically-integrated manner, all here in the developed economies, totally excluding the developing world economies. This is the time when I think people have realized it cannot be done that way and it must be done in a very different way. And that different way is about global resourcing."

This lecture took place on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 4:30 pm in the MIT Wong Auditorium, Building E51. The lecture was open to the general public free of charge.
