"This will be the first effort of its kind to actually take a jet across the entire range of capability, into afterburner as well as supersonic, for a tactical fighter aircraft on a second-generation biofuel."  Rear Admiral Philip Cullom described the Navy's new biofuel-powered "Green Hornet", an F/A 18 Super Hornet multirole fighter jet powered by a biofuel blend. 

 
This lecture took place on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 5 pm in the MIT Bartos Theater, Building E15. The lecture was open to the general public free of charge.
